Smith’s Marketplace Presents $3,883 To Food Depot

Smith’s Marketplace in Los Alamos presented a gift card to Food Depot Director Sherry Hooper from Santa Fe during a gathering Friday morning at the store.

The gift totals $3,883, represents 100 percent of the cash donations made by Smith`s customers and was raised by four area stores including White Rock, Los Alamos, Taos and Santa Fe.

The Food Depot shops for food and stores it in a Santa Fe warehouse to distribute to more than 150 participants including LA Cares in Los Alamos. The Food Depot is funded primarily by private individuals, grant gifts, businesses and local churches.
