SFAS News:

Do you have a cute pet photo and want to help out with senior animals in need? The Santa Fe Animal Shelter (SFAS) is hosting a “Love Above All Valentine’s Pet Photo Contest” to fundraise for their cause.

If you want to participate, submit your best photo of your companion pet, set a personal fundraising goal, and collect votes for your chance to win.

Some prizes up for grabs include jewelry from Kendra Scott, a $250 gift card for Target, six online training classes for your dog, a $100 gift card to Thaw Animal Hospital, shelter hoodies, t-shirts and more!

The Love Above All Valentine’s Photo contest is underway through Feb. 14.

All the funds raised during the photo promotion will go toward medical care, nutritious food and mental enrichment for the homeless senior animals in the shelter’s care until they find a loving home.

“During these unprecedented times, many rescues are looking for fun and unique ways to engage with the community and help raise funds, and that’s exactly what this contest is all about! It’s so heartwarming to see everyone’s sweet pets, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who participates in this virtual contest to support the senior animals in our care,” said Murad Kirdar, shelter public relations officer.

“Our furry family members have enriched our lives and brought us so much joy, peacefulness, and stress relief over the past year. We can’t think of a better way to pay tribute than by including our pets in our Valentine’s Day campaign,” Kirdar said.
