Rotary Club Speaker Schedule for August

The Rotary Club of Los Alamos meets 11:45 to 1 p.m. Tuesdays at the Dixie Girl Restaurant, 1789 Central Avenue.  Guests are always welcome to attend!

Aug 14  Emily Chan, daughter of Rotary member Tony Chan, will present a program about her recent travels in “My 11-Country Tour.”  Emily has not only traveled extensively abroad, but has also taught overseas.

Aug 21  Dave Melton, pilot of the hot-air balloon, Purple Haze, will tell us about the adventures and eand escapades of being aloft in a balloon.                                                             

Aug 28  Dr. Chick Keller–meteorologist, climate scientist, astronomer, and co-founder of the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC)–will describe the summer meteor showers in our night skies and also give us an update about PEEC.                                                                            
Sep 4  Greg Fisher, the new Economic Vitality Administrator for the County, will share his observations, as well as his ideas to address the challenges presented in our community.
