PED, CYFD, ECECD, IAD, HED Announce Collaborative Plans To Protect, Feed, And Educate Children – And To Support Families – During Public Health Emergency

SANTA FE — Tuesday, New Mexico state agencies – including the Public Education Department (PED), Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD), Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD), Indian Affairs Department (IAD), and Higher Education Department (HED) – announced expanded plans for coordination during the COVID-19 public health emergency.

UNM-LA Advisory Board Holds Meeting Via Zoom April 8

UNM-LA News:

The UNM-Los Alamos Advisory Board will meet 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, using Zoom technology.

This is the annual special meeting related to the UNM-LA budget.

Specific agenda items will include an overview of the UNM-LA response to the COVIS-19 Pandemic, approval of the Budget Adjustment Request (BAR) for FY20 and approval of the FY21 Operating Budget.

New Mexico COVID-19 Cases At 495, 3 More Deaths

STATE News:

SANTA FE – New Mexico state health officials announced today 92 additional positive tests for COVID-19.

The update includes three additional deaths related to COVID-19​.

Per the New Mexico Department of Health, the most recent cases are:

  • 39 new cases in Bernalillo County
  • 3 new case in Cibola County
  • 1 new case in Doña Ana County
  • 8 new cases in McKinley County
  • 26 new cases in Sandoval County
  • 9 new cases in San Juan County
  • 4 new case in Socorro County
  • 2 new cases counties not yet identified

Scammers continue to take advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic to steal money through a variety of means.
The FBI is warning the health care industry in particular of an increased potential for fraudulent activity dealing with the purchase of COVID-19-related medical equipment.
