Do you want a great performance reivew at work this year? The Otowi Bridge chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) can help.
We’re a local non-profit, and our project management training will help you and your employees improve your project management skill set.
Nationally, one in six large projects has cost overruns of 200 percent or more. Los Alamos’ Otowi Bridge Chapter of the Project Management Institute wants you to be successful with your projects, and help you earn a certification as a Project Management Professional! The certification training course begins on April 13, and will meet weekly for fifteen sessions, ending on July 27.
According to a 2010 study, failed projects equal 8.9 percent of GDP. That is a lot of money, and it can ruin businesses, bankrupt families, and devastate local economies. Project Management Institute (PMI) standards can help stop the financial hemorrhage, just like the NM State IT Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), which uses PMI methodologies and experiences an unprecedented 86 percent success rate, far surpassing the national average of only 63 percent success.
Retired Los Alamos County CIO, Laura Gonzales said, “after we implemented PMI methodologies for Los Alamos’ IT projects, our project consistently completed on time, and within budget.”
Classes will be held from 3:15 – 5:45 p.m., Wednesdays at UNM-LA.
This PMP Prep course is taught by certified PMPs and will prepare motivated students to sit for the PMP examination. Things to consider in deciding if project management training is for you or your employees:
1) Have you had a project in this past two years go over budget?
2) Have you had a project in this past two years exceed its schedule?
3) Have you had communication problems on a project in the last two years?
Project management training will help you to address these sorts of issues, as well as others. Please follow this link to view the schedule and to register using your credit card or paypal account. We can also accept PO payment, and check payment.
