Pets Of The Week: Hot Pocket And Simon

Hot Pocket began life on the coldest edge of heartbreak—found alone in a frozen barn, barely hanging on. For a time, we didn’t know if he would survive. Our medical team warmed him gently, refused to give up, and Hot Pocket chose to stay. Once he thawed, his name—and his spirit—became obvious. He went from ice-cold to piping hot, revealing a perfectly toasted little lovebug who lives for cuddles and play. This handsome marbled kitten makes biscuits on everything—your lap, the air, maybe even imaginary friends—kneading the world with pure joy. Hot Pocket is warm, wonderful, and ready for his forever home. Española Humane is open to walk-in adopters 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday at 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. Simon is part of the beloved Puppy Patch at Ojo Santa Fe, and he or one of his littermates could be our 700th Puppy Patch adoption—a milestone we can’t wait to celebrate. What started as a wildly wonderful idea—bringing shelter puppies to a spa resort—has grown into hundreds of happy new beginnings, with puppies adopted into loving homes across the country. Simon is ready for his own forever adventure: cuddles, couches, and a family to call his own. An adopter from Simon’s litter will be part of Puppy Patch history and receive a special thank-you gift from Ojo Santa Fe and Española Humane in honor of this joyful moment. Could Simon be the one who makes adoption number 700? Apply on our website to meet him or his siblings and come see why a little puppy love has changed so many lives. Española Humane is open to walk-in adopters 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday at 108 Hamm Parkway in Española. Visit www.espanolahumane.org. Courtesy/EH
