Chili (formerly known as Adahay) is an adolescent German Shepherd mix rescued from a high-kill shelter – he’s happy to have a second chance at life!
Chili came to the shelter with heartworm, and he has been hanging out in a wonderful foster home, but his foster family is hoping to find a perfect forever home for him.
He is fairly low energy (although this can sometimes be a side effect of the heartworm treatment), and he is friendly and affectionate around people. Chili is housetrained and knows not to get on the furniture; he also loves daily walks. Sometimes other dogs can be a bit scary, so he would likely do best in an only home.
Chili is currently in foster care, so please call his foster family to meet him: 505.662.7882. Chili’s picture is courtesy of Paulina Gwaltney photography. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m., Sundays.
