Raffi Andonian presented “Money Talks,” a financial seminar for parents July 21 at Fuller Lodge.

During the presentation, parents learned how to turn situations like going to the store, receiving gifts, saving for the things they want, and doing chores into opportunities to teach their children money lessons that will serve them throughout their lives.

“Kids learn about money from their parents. It’s amazing how much they’re absorbing, even before they can talk,” said Andonian, who supplied countless age-appropriate ways to introduce financial concepts. “It’s important to start early when kids are receptive.”

Andonian will teach the class again at 6 p.m. Oct. 6, at the projectY co-work space at 150 Central Park Square in Los Alamos. Childcare will be provided. Seating is limited to eight participants, so attendees must RSVP by calling Raffi Andonian to be included. His contact information is below.
