Los Alamos High School Girls Basketball received the 6th seed and will host the 1st Round of the 5A Girls State Basketball Tournament Friday, March 6 vs. the Goddard Rockets.
Game time is 6 p.m. at Griffith Gym. Tickets will be $5. Come out and support the Toppers in their quest for a state championship!

Hunters can enter the 2015 Valles Caldera Trust lottery for a chance to hunt Merriam turkeys on the Valles Caldera National Preserve.
The 2015 hunt will be the ninth since the Preserve was established in 2000 and the second since the one ticket, per hunter, per hunt lottery was established last year in order to offer turkey hunts to a wider range of applicants.
Eight hunt authorizations will be issued for the two hunts scheduled for May 2-4 and May 8-10.
Each applicant will be limited to one ticket per hunt code but can apply to both hunts. Read More

The Los Alamos Medical Center’s Hospital Auxiliary is an organization of 47 active members who serve the staff and patients of the hospital on a volunteer basis.
As they begin this new year, the organization finds itself in great need of new volunteers. Trinity Site Tour Reservations Now Available

The annual Los Alamos Historical Society escorted bus tour to the site of the first atomic test, Trinity Site, will be April 3-4, this time via Alamogordo.
The cost is $385, which includes transportation, lodging in Alamogordo, and some meals. Experts and resources about the area and the test will be on board.
Boys And Girls State Coming Up In May
POST 90 News:
American Legion Post 90 is encouraging high school students to attend this year’s Boys and Girls State.
Boys’ State is May 24-29 at Eastern New Mexico College in Portales. Girls’ State begins May 31.
Students who completed their junior year are eligible to attend. Completing the event will provide three college credits that are transferrable anywhere. Two bills are currently pending legislature to also award participants high school credit, too.
