New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau agents arrested Ruidoso Police Officer Daniel Balding, 35, of Ruidoso Sept. 12 for one count of Child Solicitation by Electronic Communication Device.

Earlier that day, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) contacted New Mexico State Police Agents informing them that an HSI special agent in Minnesota posing as a 15-year-old female on the Whisper app was contacted by a male individual, later identified as Balding.

SFNF: Sales Of Fuelwood Permits Resume At Pueblo Of Jemez Welcome Center

SANTA FE The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) will keep its satellite office at the Pueblo of Jemez Welcome Center, also known as the Walatowa Visitor Center, open after all.
 
That means that fuelwood permits and other Forest Service products will be available for sale there Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

FBI: $5K Reward In Taos Pueblo Homicides

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the homicides of a father and son on Taos Pueblo.
 
The victims were identified as Antonio ‘Tony’ Romero, 82, and Buck Romero, 51, both members of Taos Pueblo.
 
Their bodies were found June 1, 2019 in Buck Romero’s residence.
