Opera On The Rocks: Online Tickets End Sept. 22

Los Alamos Opera Guild of the Guilds of The Santa Fe Opera, Bandelier National Monument and Atomic City Transit will be presenting Opera on The Rocks Saturday, Sept. 24 during National Public Lands’ Day. 
 
A great event to celebrate arts in your local National Park for their 100th birthday celebration. All proceeds from the event’s ticket sales will go to The Santa Fe Opera’s Education Department and Community Programs and The Friends of Bandelier. Thursday, September 22, will be the finial day to purchase tickets online at the Guild’s website, www.Guildsofsfo.org/LA; prices are $10 per individual or $20 per family for Guild members, and $15 per individual or $35 per family for non-members. 
 
People staying at Juniper Campground that night may attend for free. You may purchased tickets at the event after taking the shuttles with cash or check only. 
 
Native American performer (Cochiti Pueblo), Arnold Herrera will welcome the guests to the Amphitheater. The Bridge, Los Alamos High School string quartet, will perform before the main stage production of ¡Zarzuela! Members include Michele Yang, Ann Sherrill, Sophia Li and Irene Kwon. 
 
Throughout the evening, you may enjoy wine and beer tastings courtesy of Black Mesa Winery, Abby Brewery, and Bathtub Row Brewery and along with snack provided by the Los Alamos Opera Guild. Additional refreshments will be available for purchase from Bandelier Trading Post. Youth activities and snacks will be provided. 
 
Due to very limited parking at Bandelier, those attending need to come by free shuttle bus from either Sullivan Field in Los Alamos or the White Rock Visitor Center. Buses will depart between 4-4:30 p.m., returning approximately 8 p.m. Exceptions are vehicles with disability placards.
