Obituary: Jeanette Marie Preber Verre Dec. 23, 2015

Jeanette Marie Preber Verre, a former Los Alamos resident, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Jeanette, born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1931, was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Verre, her parents, John and Margaret Preber, her brother, Walter James Preber, and her nephew, Gregory Justin Preber.
She is survived by her nephew, Bradley Preber and wife, Lois, of Pheonix, Arizona, niece, Heather Preber, and nephew, Cameron Preber, as well as two ornery Schnauzers, Missy and Pepper, and her closest friends, Marla and Reid Griffith of Los Alamos and Scott Black and Daphne and Jim Harpin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, all of whom greatly supported and loved her through her final months.
Jeanette held several jobs in Los Alamos, including as a PBX Operator at the Health Research Laboratory and, later as a bookkeeper for an attorney and several physicians.
Cremation and interment with her husband have taken place at The Santa Fe National Cemetery. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where Jeanette and Ray were members for many years.
