Nominations Open: ‘Elevate An Educator’ National Contest

Literacy News:

CHICAGO, IL – Freadom, the purpose-driven, lifestyle brand that donates 100 percent of net profits to transformative literacy initiatives, announces the second annual Elevate an Educator contest.

In an effort to pay tribute to the incredible work teachers do, and celebrate those who dedicate their lives to enriching others through education, Freadom calls on students as well as adults to nominate the educator in their life, past or present, that has made a significant impact.

“Now more than ever educators are stepping up as the true heroes of our society,” Freadom Founder Brian Floriani said. “Teachers of all kinds are persevering in the most uncertain times to continue educating our youth and encouraging learning no matter what is going on outside of the classroom, whether that’s in a school or in someone’s home. Educator’s are essential to the growth of our society and we look forward to seeing the nominations and learning more about the most influential teachers throughout the country.”

This contest began on International Literacy Day Sept. 8, and runs through Feb. 1 – the first 100 days of school – during which Freadom will be accepting nominations with a goal of having at least one educator nominated from each of the 50 states. The top 10 nominees, two selected from each region (Northeast, Midwest, Southeast, Southwest, West) will be chosen by Freadom. Voting will then be open to the public to first determine the Final 5, one from each region, and then Freadom’s 2021 MVE (Most Valuable Educator) amongst the final educators.

The 2021 MVE will receive recognition and a $500 Gift Card for Freadom merchandise. All nominees and finalists will receive Freadom Gift Cards and all nominators will receive Freadom swag featuring the 2021 Educators are Essential custom logo, Educators are Elevators and Literacy for All stickers, which were created by award-winning designer Allan Peters, Partner and CCO of PDCO
