TOTH News:

Trinity on the Hill Episcopal Church warmly invites the public to its Christmas Eve Family Communion service.

The service will include a Christmas musical by the youth of the church and carols by candlelight, sung by the congregation and the Youth Choir. It will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24 in the sanctuary of Trinity on the Hill, 3900 Trinity Dr.

Approximately 12 young people, ages 4 to 15, will take part in the musical, titled “Archangel Gabriel’s Awesome Adventure”. The presentation is a light-hearted dramatization of the Nativity, told from the point of view of one of the angels preparing for the birth of Jesus. The cast of characters features dancing angels, Gabriel, the narrator, Mary (a typical teenager, preparing for marriage), her betrothed Joseph and some grumpy shepherds.

Later on Christmas Eve, at 11 p.m., the community also is invited to a traditional Mass of the Eve of the Nativity, with carols sung by the congregation and the Chancel Choir of Trinity on the Hill, directed by Joe Cox and accompanied on the organ by Valerie Fassbender. A service also will be held at 10 a.m. Christmas Day. All are welcome to attend these services.
