NMDOT is alerting motorists to bridge work starting on N.M. 599 on the northwest side of Santa Fe.
The project, which involves grinding, overlay, and joint replacement work, starts Monday, Aug. 20 and will be completed in two to three weeks, weather permitting.
The N.M. 599 bridges being worked on are over Via Abajo at mile marker 7.4, Camino La Tierra at mile marker 10.1, and Avenida Rincon at mile marker 13.9.
The work is being performed by two NMDOT contractors, Meridian and Villalobos Construction Company.
There will be lane closures in both directions on N.M. 599 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. NMDOT urges all drivers to proceed through the work zones with caution, observe traffic control signing, and reduce speed to posted limits.
