Museum Of Natural History & Science Announces November Education Programs

NMMNHS News:

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) Education team is continuing its offsite education efforts, with a new slate of free events for all ages and interests during November.

With the museum temporarily closed for a renovation project, NMMNHS educators are bringing natural history into the community with a full slate of public programs in Bernalillo County libraries and community spaces during the fall months through the Natural History in your Neighborhood program.

When and Where:

  • 4–5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6: Journey through the Solar System at Central & Unser Library (8081 Central Ave. NW). For ages 9 to 12.
  • 4–5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7: Dino Discoveries at Juan Tabo Library (3407 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE). For ages 9 to 12.
  • 11 a.m.–12 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8: Dino Discoveries at Main Library (501 Copper Ave. NW). For ages 0 to 8.
  • 3–4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9: The Geological Story of the Albuquerque Area at Cherry Hills Library (6901 Barstow St. NE). Adults and older students welcome.
  • 10:30–11:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 13: Dino Discoveries at Cherry Hills Library (6901 Barstow St. NE). For ages 0 to 8.
  • 3–4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 13: The Geological Story of the Albuquerque Area at Los Griegos Library (1000 Griegos Rd. NW). Adults and older students welcome.
  • 10–11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 15: Field Journaling at Corrales Community Library (84 W La Entrada, Corrales). For ages 13 to 18.
  • 1–2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 15: Portable Planetarium at Juan Tabo Library (3407 Juan Tabo Blvd. NE). For ages 3 to adult.
  • 4–5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19: The Geological Story of the Albuquerque Area at Los Griegos Library (1000 Griegos Rd. NW). Adults and older students welcome.
  • 4–5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20: Journey Through the Solar System at South Broadway Library (1025 Broadway Blvd. SE). For ages 9 to 12.
