ALBUQUERQUE — The Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum Foundation presents LOVE IS IN THE AIR, a Valentine’s Weekend of Celebrations for Friends, Family, Sweethearts and Balloons to celebrate love and ballooning.

A benefit for the Balloon Museum, LOVE IS IN THE AIR is a curated collection of three lovely gatherings Saturday, Feb. 11; Sunrise Valentine’s Breakfast, Sunset Valentine’s Cocktail Party and stroll the Balloon Museum Artisan Market with more than 15 local vendors, all while overlooking the AAAA Friends & Lovers Rally at Balloon Fiesta Park.

Tickets include parking, plentiful food and drink selections, indoors in the stunning second- story atrium room, cash bar, spectacular views of the Friends & Lovers Balloon Rally, exclusive early access to the Museum Artisan Market, behind-the-scenes museum tours, and Museum Shoppe discount.

The Sunset Glow Cocktail Party 4-7 p.m. Saturday, includes a balloon glow, views of a sunset, indoor museum tours including cocktails and delicious food. Live music is provided by Bebe Lala. The Sunset Glow Cocktail Party is a lovely option for celebrating friends, lovers & philanthropy.

The Museum Artisan Market is open to the public, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Balloon Museum. Presented by the Balloon Museum Shoppe, local artisans present handmade and local goods. Museum tours, a cash bar and food truck will be onsite at the Balloon Museum during the Museum Artisan Market.

A special Galentine’s Breakfast 6-9 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, offers yoga, breakfast, mimosas, and a spectacular view of the balloon rally. Sunday, Feb. 12 is Super Bowl Sunday. The Balloon Museum Foundation invites friends, families and loved ones to get up super early and enjoy a super good time before the Super Bowl.

AAAA, the local and largest ballooning organization in the United States has presented the “Friends and Lovers Balloon Rally” for many years. With more than 200 balloons registered to fly, the love themed rally is open to the public. As with all ballooning events, balloon inflations and launches are weather dependent, keeping participants safety as the first priority.

The Balloon Museum overlooks Balloon Fiesta Park and boasts the best views of the many ballooning activities including stunning views of sunrises over the Sandia Mountains and sunsets along the Rio Grande horizon. The Balloon Museum Foundation wants to offer a uniquely New Mexican valentines experience with views of balloons, views of New Mexico landscape, VIP experiences at one of Albuquerque’s most outstanding museums.

All events include great sales and membership opportunities with the Balloon Museum Shoppe. Museum members receive 10 percent off all ticket levels.
