Los Alamos Shooters Meet At Olympic Trials

Members of the Los Alamos Precision Rifle Team recently traveled to Colorado Springs and competed in the Winter Airgun Championships, which also are Olympic team trials matches.
On the final day, current team member sophomore Samantha Miller and member of the Los Alamos 2015 Navy Precision Champion team was squadded next to Jodi Cull-Host, senior team captain of the U.S. Naval Academy rifle team and member of the 2012 Los Alamos Navy Precision Championship team.
Also attending the event from Los Alamos were Holly Hayes, Steffie Nielsen and Jacob Torrez.
This event was all fired in the standing position with the women firing 40 shots and the men 60 shots. The best airgun shooters from all over the country attended this huge event, which drew more than 300 participants.
The next event for the Los Alamos team members is Junior Olympic Qualifier matches this coming weekend.
