LAHS Track And Field Results From Harper Invitational

SPORTS News:
 
The LAHS Boys and Girls Track & Field teams posted a number of new state qualifying marks at the Harper Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at Albuquerque Academy.
 
For the Boys, Hayden Walker qualified for State in the 1600 m, with a time of 4:29.5, and Macklin Cunico improved his State qualifying javelin mark with a throw of 160′ 6″.
 
For the Girls, Zoe Hemez qualified for State in the 3200 m with a time of 12:15.0. Emily Mercer qualified in the 300 m hurdles with a time of 48.73 seconds.
 
Eighth grader Jazmine Tuning qualified in the high jump by clearing 5′ 0″. The 4×400 relay of Emily Mercer, Talia Dreicer, Sienna Ahlers, and Elena Abeyta qualified with a time of 4:11.9. Talia Dreicer improved her qualifying time in the 1600 with a time of 4:19.8.
 
Liz Lockhart improved her qualifying mark in the triple jump with a leap of 35′ 8 1/4″. Sydney Schoonover improved her qualifying mark in the high jump by clearing 5′ 2″. The 4×100 m relay of Elena Abeyta, Emily Mercer, Claire Ticknor, and Celeste Levy improved their qualifying mark with a time of 50.06 seconds.
