The final Tuesdays at the Pond was scheduled for Aug. 11, featuring Marcos Cavalcante and Band at Ashley Pond Park.
However, just announced, Tuesdays at the Pond has extended the successful concert series schedule by one week to include The Silver Lines at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
The Silver Lines are an alternative rock band from Socorro featuring Los Alamos resident and guitarist Matt Broomfield, drummer Nick Davis and bassist Greg Holmes. The three met in school at Socorro and are delighted to be playing in Los Alamos
The Los Alamos Creative District directs a variety of programs that bring people to downtown Los Alamos. Fourth Fridays is a monthly event that offers special programming at Mesa Public Library, Bradbury Science Museum, Los Alamos Historical Society and Fuller Lodge Art Center.
Fourth Fridays happens on the fourth Friday of each month and will also promote special offerings from local businesses. On Tap is a series of discussions and libations located downtown every first and third Thursday of the month.
First Thursdays feature rotating themes of history, nature and art hosted by the Los Alamos Historical Society, Pajarito Environmental Education Center, or Fuller Lodge Art Center respectively. Science On Tap by the Bradbury Science Museum is very third Thursday of the month.
