Kiwanis Club Speaker Schedule for July

KIWANIS CLUB OF LOS ALAMOS News:

The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos meets each Tuesday, noon to 1 p.m., at the Masonic Lodge, on Sage, near the intersection of 15th Street and Canyon Road. Guests are always welcome!

 

July 3-Los Alamos Kiwanis President Kristy Ortega is arranging to show a Kiwanis International movie on Project Eliminate, the Kiwanis-UNICEF effort to wipe out maternal and neonatal tetanus, a major killer of mothers and babies in 34 nations.

July 10-Kiwanian Paul Cunningham will speak on a recent trip to Alaska that he and his wife, Mary, took. He says he will “focus on dogs and lights.”

July 17-Los Alamos Kiwanis First Vice President Don Casperson will speak on his hobby-collecting antique calculators. He promises hands-on experiences.

July 24-Committee Meetings.

 
July 31-Fifth Tuesday. There will be no noon meeting and no Newsletter, but if a host or hostess steps forward, there will be a potluck party in the evening.
