SANTA FE ― First National Santa Fe is the winner of the 2016 Sonny Brown Business of the Year Award from the Rotary District 5520.
First National Santa Fe was chosen as the winner out of multiple nominees from across New Mexico and Far West Texas in the large business category due to its dedication to the Santa Fe community, high quality banking services and commitment to its employees.
“First National Santa Fe truly deserves this award,” Tom Walker, district governor, Rotary District 5520 said. “The bank is an outstanding example of a business leader – from providing quality jobs and benefits to Santa Fe residents to its many initiatives in the local community. We are pleased to recognize First National Santa Fe for being a longstanding pillar of the Santa Fe business community.”
The Rotary District 5520 presented First National Santa Fe with the award at the 2016 Rotary District 5520 Conference luncheon Saturday, April 30. Michelle Coons, president of First National Santa Fe, was present to accept the award on the bank’s behalf.
Coons is a prominent member of the New Mexico community and serves in numerous local and state leadership positions, including board chair of the UNM Foundation, ACCION, and the Spaceport Authority.
