FPD News:
FARMINGTON  The Farmington Police Department will host its second annual National Night Out event 4-7 p.m. today. Oct. 4, at the Farmington Boys and Girls Club.
The Helpful Heroes Junior Civitans will launch their Back the Blue campaign during the event, which is this year’s theme. Attendees will enjoy a variety of activities and attractions, including bubble soccer, face painting, a police pumpkin pick and demonstrations by FPD’s specialty units. District Coordinator Unit officers will give away several bicycles throughout the event.
The New Mexico Attorney General’s Office, Mrs. New Mexico and Miss Pre-teen New Mexico will be among the exhibitors. This year’s event will also include two fundraising activities: a three-on-three basketball tournament and a chance to dunk FPD’s chief of police. Both fundraisers will benefit the Farmington Boys and Girls Club.
