Semi Truck Slides Off NM 4 Near White Rock

LAPD News:

Los Alamos and Santa Fe County police responded to the scene of a semi truck that slid off N.M. 4 this morning between the truck route and White Rock.

Cmdr. Oliver Morris told the Los Alamos Daily Post that no injuries were reported.

He explained that traffic flow was delayed while a large tow truck was called in to hook-up the semi and haul it away.

N.M. 4 is now clear and traffic is moving along at a normal pace. Read More

The National Weather Service forecasts a strong storm in Arizona that will transport deep layer moisture to western and north central New Mexico today, where moderate to heavy snow will fall. The heaviest snow will fall along the west slopes and higher peaks of the mountains. Today’s high near 36 in Los Alamos with a 90 percent chance of daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible. The weather this week turned sharply colder. There was snow, but it was hit-or-miss. Here in the Espanola Valley there was very little, while nearby Los Alamos was buried. One area that has been really slammed with snow is Chama. They have already had over 100 inches of total snowfall and more is still on the way.
