The Los Alamos Police Department School Resource Officers (SROs) assigned to the Los Alamos Public Schools would like to welcome everyone back to school and take a moment to remind the community about safety concerns that have been observed since the start of school Aug. 12:
- All visitors must check-in at the main office at a school site and provide identification. The school will issue a temporary identification

SANTA FE — New Mexico Higher Education Department (NMHED) has announced that six New Mexico colleges and universities have received a total of $43.5 million in dedicated research funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support research projects in biology, medicine, computer science, math, environmental science and more.

The Los Alamos Historical Society announces its 2021–22 lecture series.
The first lecture is 7 p.m., Sept. 14 in Fuller Lodge, with a presentation from Michael Ettema on “Maria and Julian’s Pottery Revolution”.
The series continues on second Tuesdays through fall and spring.
