Earth Now: American Photographers and the Environment

PEEC is presenting a talk and book signing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29 by Katherine Ware, Exhibits and Photography Curator of the New Mexico Museum of Art.

Ware also is the author of Earth Now.

Earth Now traces the development of environmental photography beginning with  Adams and  Porter and others, and the next generation of landscape photographers whose works confronted the issues of landscape and the environment in less idealized terms.

Earth Now is a powerful commentary on global environmental issues as seen through the lens of the newest wave of environmental photographers.

The talk at PEEC Nature Center at 3540 Orange St. is free with no registration required.
