Tuesday night Council meeting – just two more to go this year! (Remember: the meeting is in Los Alamos, not White Rock, and starts at 7 p.m.)

What’s on the agenda? They’ll focus mostly on a discussion of the recent news that the NM DOT has rejected plans to improve NM502 at the eastern entrance into the townsite. The County submitted its preferred design plans last February, but DOT and the Federal Highway Administration said the level of service for two of the side streets would not meet their minimum standards. They want the County to increase the road to four lanes through that area if their funds are going to be used to pay for the project.
