Trinity Site – Plans go to P&Z Commission Wednesday Feb. 27
Attend the meeting at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers as Commissioners review Trinity Site plans. This is the next major step for the new Smiths Marketplace as the developer continues to move toward breaking ground on the retail center planned for the south side of Trinity (across from Marimac Plaza.)

Multi-purpose Covered Arena: Grand Opening March 22
The grand opening of the new arena is set for 4 p.m., March 22 at the site on North Mesa (Brewer Arena, east of the stables.)

Golf Course Community Building: Work begins March 4
Gerald Martin Contractors will begin construction March 4 on this long-awaited project to replace the former building. The date for substantial completion is Dec. 30, 2013.

White Rock Trails Improvements – Canada del Buey
County staff is wrapping up work on this project, which is part of the overall White Rock Master Plan for economic development. If awarded by Council in another month, the selected contractor could start construction this Spring. Work is expected to take about three months.

Outcome of the Feb. 19 Council Meeting on Capital Projects

Ashley Pond Park Improvements – Update
This project at Ashley Pond (improve sidewalks and ADA access, along with closing the pond to drain/dredge it and fix water quality issues, plus construct a stage on the southeast corner) should go out to construction bids in approximately two weeks. Once awarded, it is expected that work would begin in May and be completed in October.

Asphalt Crack Sealing Gets Underway
You will see pavement crews out and about in the community as weather conditions improve. The County plans to crack seal approximately 30 lane miles of roads and streets, and approxiately 40,000 square yards of various parking lots.
