Los Alamos County Councilor Vincent Chiravalle moved that Council direct staff to reinstitute the U.S. mailed monthly newsletter and contract to print and mail the newsletter. Chiravalle’s motion did not receive a second.

County Administrator Harry Burgess recommended that the County continue producing only the on-line “County Line” newsletter, emailed each Friday, due to the impacts of cost and staff time needed to prepare the mailed version and because the weekly email is more timely and more eco-friendly.

Council voted 5 to 1 to continue only the email version of the weekly newlestter. As noted by several councilors, the County Line is also available on the Los Alamos Daily Post each week. Council requested that staff make every effort to sign up more citizens to receive the County Line. To sign up for the weekly email, go to http://www.losalamosnm.us/Pages/Subscribe.aspx

County Council Chair Sharon Stover volunteered to work with any citizen to help them find methods to keep informed on county activities and information.
