Working in the media of painting, sculpture, performance, and, most importantly, piñatas, Favela draws from art history, popular culture, and his Guatemalan/Mexican heritage. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has exhibited his work across the United States in notable shows at venues including the Contemporary Arts Center, Trifecta Gallery, the Clark County Government Center, the Nevada Museum of Art, the New Mexico Museum of Art, and the Denver Art Museum.
Come admire his process, ask him questions, and watch his piece coming to life!
