Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op’s Honey DIPA Wins Best IPA At 2016 Honey Beer Competition

BRBC News:

Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op’s Honey DIPA was recently named the best IPA at the 2016 Honey Beer Competition.

The Honey Beer Competition, hosted by the National Honey Board, was judged by nine certified judges from the Beer Judge Certification Program, and featured nine beer style categories. The submitted beers were judged on their aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel and the role honey played in the beer.

“This is a great achievement for Bathtub Row,” General Manager Jason Fitzpatrick said. “The Honey DIPA was popular with our members and proved to be a winner with the judges.”

The Honey DIPA recipe was developed by Assistant Brewer Jason Kirkman. It was one of the first beers brewed by the new Head Brewer Nic Boyden, and featured local honey.
