The Los Alamos Atomic Tumblers from Los Alamos School of Gymnastics traveled to Albuquerque to compete in the 2016 Winter Fiesta at Precision Gymnastics. More than 600 New Mexico gymnasts competed in this meet.
Layla Warner was the high scorer of the day for Los Alamos. She won the junior bronze division with a 37.20. She swept all four events, taking first on vault with 8.90, on bars with 9.60, on beam with 9.40 and on floor with 9.30.
In the bronze children’s division Claudia Jablonski and Kylee Lovato both brought home the gold, tying with 36.15 all around each. In the individual event competition they also tied for first on bars both scoring 9.55. Jablonski also took first on beam with 9.45. Kylee also took first on floor with 9.00 and second on beam with 9.10.
In the silver children’s division Anika Lovato took first with 36.20. Lovato also took first on beam with 9.50, and second on bars (9.50) and floor (9.20). Danielle Trellue was second in the all around for this division with 36.05. Trellue also placed first on bars with 9.55 and on vault with 8.90. Sara Gardner was third in the all around with 36.00. Sara also placed second on beam with 9.45 and vault with 8.65. Megan Brown took first on floor with 9.30 and tied for third on vault with 8.60. Deeanna Foster was third on bars with9.00 and tied for third on vault with 8.60.
In the senior silver division Sarah Hutchens was second on vault with 8.85. Cyra Bishop’s high finish was fifth on bars with 8.85. In the gold division Kayli Lincoln took first on vault with 9.00 and Addie Richie took second with 8.80. Lincoln also placed second on floor with 8.80. In the platinum division Anna Clark was second on both vault (9.20) and bars (9.40).
