New ABQid Executive Director T.J. Cook
ALBUQUERQUE ― ABQid has announced that T.J. Cook became the new executive director of ABQid, Inc., Feb. 13.
Cook, a lifelong New Mexican, was most recently chief executive officer of CauseLabs, where he had a 10-year career. CauseLabs is an award-winning firm that works with clients to accelerate growth with digital strategies.
While working both nationally and internationally for CauseLabs, Cook also has been active locally as a TEDx speaker and founding organizer of 1 Million Cups, a weekly entrepreneurial gathering. He became deeply familiar with regional venture-backed start-ups through his relationship with Village Capital, a CauseLabs client.
In reflecting on the appointment, Cook said:
“ABQid has facilitated an intersection of entrepreneurs, mentorship and seed capital which is critical to a healthy ecosystem. ABQid has already demonstrated that New Mexico is a great place to build growth businesses. I join an excellent team and am looking forward to democratizing entrepreneurship throughout the city and state.”

Established in 2014, ABQid is New Mexico’s first and only curriculum-based, venture capital backed business accelerator. ABQid has graduated more than 30 companies in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. It has directly impacted 100’s of companies across Northern New Mexico.
