YMCA News:

Parents may register their children for The Family YMCA’s Little Youth Soccer coed program now through March 27 at the Y at 1450 Iris St.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer as coaches, assistants and team parents; practice plans and coaching materials are provided. Please fill out a volunteer application available at The Family YMCA.

This 6-week introductory soccer program will focus on developing coordination and learning the basic skills & rules of soccer. Youth teams are divided into age groups 4-5 and 6-7. Teams will consist of 6-8 players to increase coach instruction and maximize play time.

The Y’s soccer season runs April 11 through May 20. Practices and modified games are 5:30-6:30 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays/Tuesdays and Thursdays at sites in Los Alamos and White Rock.

Cost for the season for Y members is $45 and $65 for program members.

Financial assistance scholarships are available thanks to donors to the Y Annual Campaign.
