50 Fabulous Summer Stars And Constellations Event At Jemez Historic Site Saturday June 8

Jemez Historic Site offers a Summer Star Party co-presented with The Albuquerque Astronomical Society (TAAS) to show people the notable summer stars, planets, constellations, and other dark sky objects in the Jemez dark skies.

Summer Star Party co-presented with The Albuquerque Astronomical Society (TAAS). TAAS member Bryan Crawford will give a 45-minute presentation, “Fabulous 50 Summer Stars and Constellations,” introducing people to the summer night sky 8-11 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at Jemez Historic Site, 18160 N.M. 4 in Jemez Springs.

The talk will be followed by a presenter-led laser constellation tour and participants will be able to look through TAAS telescopes. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 16 years and younger. Tickets available at my.nmculture.org/20953/33074.

This program offers people the opportunity to learn about the notable summer stars, planets, asterisms, constellations, and other dark sky objects such as nebula and galaxies explorable from the night sky at Jemez Historic Site.
