FUMC News:

No one is too small to make a difference!

Feb. 8, Los Alamos firefighters packed the parking lot at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) with their fire engines and rescue equipment.

However, rather than responding to an emergency, the firefighters came to celebrate. This past year the Young Disciples of FUMC collected pennies, dimes, nickels, quarters or anything they could get their hands on to fund a new ministry called “B3,” which stands for Bear Blanket Bags.

Along with the help of the United Methodist Women, the children donated 12 B3 bags to the fire department. These bags will be used by the firefighters as tools of compassion for those they encounter on their emergency calls.
