YMCA Seeks Volunteers for Scholarship Campaign

YMCA News:

The Family YMCA is seeking 50 volunteer scholarship campaigners for a four-week fundraising drive that begins April 15.

Annually, the Y provides $120,000 in scholarships to more than 200 local community members so everyone may access healthy Y programs.

Volunteers will be trained on how to touch base with the Y’s regular 285 supporters, so each volunteer will contact seven to 10 past supporters. As the Y holds numerous fundraising events, the goal of the Community Phase drive is to raise $40,000, and this drive will wrap up with a celebration May 22.

Interested individuals are asked to call the Y and leave their name, number and email, and to show up at the Campaign Kickoff at 5:30 p.m., April 15 at the Fusion Café, where training will be provided.
