Worship Update: First United Methodist Of Los Alamos

FUMC News:

First United Methodist of Los Alamos (FUMC) at at 715 Diamond Dr. has canceled all events and small group meetings including the United Skates program through April 3 due to the public health emergency.

FUMC will livestream Sunday worship services March 22 and March 29. The service begins at 10 a.m. and may be viewed from the FUMC Facebook page, First UMC Los Alamos or at FirstInYourHeart.org.

To hear the Sunday service live, those without internet access may call 1.253.215.8782 and enter the meeting ID: 494666436.

The church doors are open 11 a.m. to noon providing Aaron’s kids lunch bags for students who need lunches. Also, as scheduled, The Food Depot Truck will do a drive through food pick up at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27.

During this time when children are out of school and families are encouraged to stay at home and practice social distancing, Rev. John W. Nash and Lisa Jo Bezner, Intentional Faith Development director have been posting faith growing activities for families and children on the church’s youth Facebook page, First UMC Los Alamos Youth Fellowship. Activities include movie and book suggestions with questions for discussion as well as craft and story ideas.

Rev. Nicolé Raddu Ferry’s Buen Camino video for the Community Lenten Series youth class also is available. Ferry is the co-pastor at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church.

First will continue to evaluate the public health emergency situation and update information to the community as needed.
