First Born Program of Los Alamos

This Nov. 6, First Born of Los Alamos, in collaboration with Los Alamos JJAB and Los Alamos Family Council will be offering a series of informative workshops for Spanish-speaking families, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at UNM-LA.

We invite Hispanic families from the Los Alamos and Río Arriba areas to register for this free event, where you will have the opportunity to receive information about a wide variety of topics and resources in Spanish.

There will be representatives from different community service agencies during the event.

Our presentations will include mental health, substance use, LGBTQ+, navigating the public school system, homework assistance for students, positive discipline, and others. We will offer childcare, breakfast and lunch. Participants also will be able to join a raffle during the event.

Este 6 de Noviembre del 2021 de 8:30am-4:30pm, en colaboración con las agencias JJAB, LA Family Council, y First Born Program, estaremos ofreciendo una sesión de talleres informativos para familias hispanohablantes en UNMLA.

Invitamos a las familias hispanas de Los Alamos y Río Arriba a que se registren a este evento gratuito, donde tendrán la oportunidad de recibir información en español sobre una gran variedad de temas y recursos de su interés.

Contaremos con la presencia de diferentes agencias de servicios de la comunidad, que estarán disponibles durante el evento. Algunos de nuestros temas incluyen salúd mental, uso de substancias, temas LGBTQ+, navegando el sistema de las escuelas públicas, estrategias para ayudar a los estudiantes con sus tareas, disciplina positiva y entre otros.

Ofreceremos cuido de niños, desayuno y almuerzo. Los participantes también podrán participar en una serie de rifas durante el transcurso del evento.
