STAFF REPORT

Now that all the glass is installed, workers are busy applying tile to the exterior of the 10,500-square-foot new White Rock Branch Library on Sherwod Boulevard at N.M. 4.

Work also continues on the adjacent Youth Activity Center remodeling project. The White Rock Library/Youth Activity Center is an approved project budgeted within the FY2013 Capital Improvement Program funds.

The total project budget is $5,373,805, which includes the construction contract to Bradbury Stamm plus other utilities, commissioning, technology infrastructure, moving and project management costs, as well as a 1 percent required allocation for Art in Public Places.

The building is scheduled to be completed and open to the public in July.
