 Find Oppie and win gift cards from local merchants

Where’s Oppie? He’s shopping local in downtown Los Alamos for Small Business Saturday!

Support your local businesses by participating in the Where’s Oppie Instagram/Facebook Contest.

Between Saturday, Nov. 28 and Sunday, Dec. 6 each participating business will have a photo of Oppenheimer’s face hidden somewhere in their store. Your mission, should you accept it, is to find Oppie take a selfie with him and tag it with #FindOppie to Instagram or Facebook.

To qualify for the contest you must have a minimum of 10 selfies taken with 10 different Oppies around town. Make sure your post is set to “public.”

Old School and don’t Instagram or Facebook? There will be codes associated with each Oppie that you can simply record on an Oppie Contest entry form. Forms can be found at each participating business. Once you have recorded a minimum of 10 codes from businesses, return form to any participating merchant or drop in the door slot at the Chamber of Commerce, 109 Central Park Square.

Individuals who enter the contest in both formats (Instagram/Facebook selfie and paper entry) will be disqualified.

The contest begins when merchants open on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28 and ends at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. All entries with 10 codes or 10 selfies will be entered into a drawing for a pile of gift cards donated by participating merchants. The winner will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 9.

This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with American Express, Facebook or Instagram. The businesses participating in Small Business Saturday are not responsible for the outcome of the contest. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be submitted by the person in whose name the social media account is registered to, on the date the entry is submitted. One entry per family, please.
