Water Main Break Closes Rover Near Longview

At around 10 a.m. today the Los Alamos Fire Department was conducting a pressure test at a fire hydrant near the corner of Rover and Longview in White Rock. County employees at the scene said the fire department closed the valve too quickly causing a water hammer effect resulting in a broken main. Rover is closed for the next few hours as County utility crews work to close and repair the break. Photo by Carol A. Clark/ladailypost.com
