Water Communion Ceremony at Unitarian Church Sunday

UNITARIAN News:

The Unitarian Church of Los Alamos returns to its regular schedule Sunday, Sept. 7.

This week, the church year opens with its annual water communion ceremony – a mingling and sharing of waters from summer journeys – and Rev. John Cullinan will preach on water as a symbol of common humanity.

The church choir sings this Sunday, performing the traditional hymn “Peace Like a River,” and “All the Rivers” by Charles Baker, based on the words of Ecclesiastes. The worship service is preceded by the weekly forum at 9 a.m. and children’s religious education at 9:30 a.m.

The Unitarian Church of Los Alamos is a congregation that welcomes people of diverse beliefs who share a common vision of a fair, just planet where all people are valued. Whoever you are, wherever you are on your life’s journey, you are welcome! The church is at 1738 N. Sage St. The church office can be reached at 505.662.2346.
