TOTH News:

The Trinity on the Hill, Shop on the Corner Thrift Store is growing and we need more volunteer help. Our Shop is run entirely by volunteers and depends on donations.

The revenue from our weekly sales goes to outreach in Northern New Mexico. About 98 percent of the Shop’s revenue is distributed to regional and local charitable organizations. Our primary beneficiaries include Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the community of Bernal, Navajoland Area Mission, LA Cares food pantry, Food Depot in Santa Fe, Self Help, Inc., Los Alamos YMCA Teen Center, Habitat for Humanity, local animal shelters and many more.

The Shop also creates a sense of community for customers, volunteers and other community members. We provide a place for the community to donate, buy and reuse goods at very affordable prices. We depend on the generosity of volunteers in our outreach efforts to Northern New Mexico. Our thrift shop cannot run without the commitment and hard work of our volunteers.

Donations are sorted Monday mornings and our sales are Wednesday mornings. Volunteers are needed on these mornings from about 8:30 a.m. to noon to help accept and sort donations, tag and shelve merchandise, refill and organize our clothing racks and housewares shelves, assist customers and straighten up the Shop. Each volunteer’s experience can be tailored to their personal skills, interests and time availability. The volunteer commitment is very flexible. If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity that is fun, laid-back, independent and for a good cause, please come by the Shop on a Monday or Wednesday morning so we can introduce ourselves and welcome you to this outreach effort to Northern New Mexico.

The donation of your time, energy and expertise is a gift of love that enriches the lives of others. We hope you will join us each week as we sort, visit, label, laugh and enjoy the fellowship of one another. We invite you to become part of our Shop family.
