Volunteer Meeting For Relay For Life March 19

ACS News:

The 2015 American Cancer Society Los Alamos Relay for Life is looking for volunteers.

The first volunteer committee meeting is 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19 in the Large Conference Room (LCR) at Los Alamos Medical Center. The LCR is on the ground level near the cafeteria. Plenty of parking is available on the canyon side of LAMC near the cafeteria entrance.  Pizza and soft drinks served during the meeting will be hosted by Los Alamos Medical Center.

The Los Alamos Relay for Life is Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22 at Ashley Pond Park. Relay for Life brings friends, families, businesses, hospitals, schools, faith-based groups–people from all walks of life, together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and raise money to fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds raised make a difference in the fight against cancer – just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors.

Relay for Life volunteers are needed to organize and recruit teams, seek community support and underwriting, coordinate the survivor dinner, coordinate logistics, find refreshments and prizes, plan entertainment and other activities.

To join the Relay for Life in Los Alamos as a volunteer or team participant, contact Mary Beth Maassen for more information 505.661.9184 or marybeth.maassen@lpnt.net.
