Velechovsky Top Predictor In 1st Pace Race Of 49th Season

ACRR News: 

Jan Velechovsky was the best predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) first pace race of its 49th season held Tuesday on the Canyon Rim Trail at 8 seconds of his predicted time. 

Other accurate predictors include David Kunsberg at 9 seconds off; Anders Medin, 13, with a 27 second differential; Mary Knaak recording a 32 second difference and Aurea Rojas at 37 seconds off.

On the 1 mile course Adrian Medin, 12, recorded a time of 7:07 for the best finisher and Katie Gattiker was the first female at 10:16.

Paul Geimer had a 18:11 for first finisher in the 3 mile distance and Adrienne Hetrick was the top female finisher with a time of 21:02.

Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 near the bottom of Main Hill Road (N.M. 502) and can be gotten to by taking a left just before the N.M. 4 junction to White Rock off Main Hill Road. The race will start at the beginning of the road to the pollution control plant in Bayo Canyon. 1 and 3 mile runs will be available.
