SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers Girls Soccer Team hosted the Rio Rancho Rams on Tuesday at Sullivan Field for their second home game of the season.

The Toppers controlled the game from the first whistle to the final score of 4-1.

Sophomore Margaret Steinkamp scored 2 goals. Senior Marlee Katko and freshman Rafa Rocha had 1 goal and 1 assist each.

Senior defenders Estella Remillieux, Jenna Montoya, and Tirryn Sutherland aggressively defended the Topper goal while junior goalkeeper Kailey Thwaits made 6 excellent saves to keep the Toppers ahead.

The Toppers have now defeated three powerhouse schools including the reigning 5A state champions Sue Cleveland.
