The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin pavement preservation work today on US 84/285 at milepost 178.00 (Buffalo Thunder) to 182.00 (CR 109 just north of Nambe).
The contractor will be milling the existing asphalt and then follow with a heater scarification overlay process.
Starting today – US84/285 northbound lanes near Buffalo Thunder will be reduced to one lane. Motorists can expect delays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. There is an 11’ width restriction. This project is scheduled to be completed end of September 2018; weather permitting
Cutler Repaving, Inc. out of Kansas is the contractor for this project.
Drivers are urged to watch for workers in the area, observe traffic control signs and reduce speed to the posted speed limit. Updates on this project will be posted on the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s road advisory website, http://nmroads.com/
