PAJARITO News:
The Jemez Mountain Fire Protection Project is in full swing this summer—and the work happening on our mountain right now is the reason next winter is going to look very different around here.
New snowmaking infrastructure. More days on the hill. A Pajarito that’s built to last.
To keep crews safe and the project moving, we’re suspending all summer mountain operations.
- Lift served mountain biking is fully suspended
- Hiking is welcome — just stay clear of active construction and maintenance areas
- Lodge is closed and locked (no bathrooms on site — plan ahead)
- Dogs on leash, always
Cafe and store are closed for the season, with limited openings on select event weekends—Summerfest, ULLRfest, and others on our events calendar
To our biking community—we hear you, and we’re sorry for the loss of a lift-served summer season. The mountain is doing something important right now, and your patience is genuinely part of making it happen.
