UNM-LA Postpones January 2013 Mil Election

UNM-LA News:

After several meetings with UNM administration and the UNM Board of Regents, UNM-Los Alamos was advised to postpone its resolution question for an operational mil increase until later in 2013.

This decision was reached by the UNM Board of Regents with the desire that UNM-Los Alamos have a successful election and in consideration of the uncertainty in the economy and with federal budget decisions and their impact on Los Alamos National Laboratory employment and the Los Alamos community.

UNM-Los Alamos looks forward to partnering with the UNM administration and the UNM Regents to achieve a successful election in 2013.

Local advocates for UNM-Los Alamos will continue to develop a campaign for a successful election, work with community leaders to build support, and inform the voters of Los Alamos of the value of the programs and services available through UNM-Los Alamos.
